The deadline for nominations for the
2007-2008 Teacher and Director of the Year awards is passed. Thanks
to Margot Buescher Reavey for her coordination of the nominations.

Nominations for the 2008-2009 school year will be due in
mid-January 2009. Watch this page for up-to-date information.
Massachusetts Studio
Teacher of the Year
2008-2009
Nomination Criteria:
* Candidate must have been a member of ASTA for 5
consecutive years.
* Candidate must have had an established private
studio for a minimum of 5 years.
* The nominating member should list the nominee's
name, any relevant position, title, or school information, home
phone number and his/her own contact information.
* The following information may be included: a
summary of teaching experience, letters of recommendation which
include the candidates input into his/her community/state, a
listing of students' accomplishments.
Massachusetts School
Orchestra Director of the Year
2008-2009
Nomination Criteria:
* Candidate must have been a member of ASTA for 5
consecutive years.
* Candidate must currently be teaching in an
elementary/secondary public or private school and have a minimum of
5 years teaching experience.
* The nominating member should list the nominee's
name, position/title, school district, superintendent's name, and
home phone number as well as his/her own contact information.
* The following information may be included: a
summary of the candidate's professional background and school
orchestra accomplishments, letters of recommendation and printed
programs and/or tapes of recent orchestra concerts.
