ASTA Solo
Competition
ASTA’s National Solo
Competition will be held from March 18th-21st, 2009 in
Atlanta, Georgia. The competition is open to ASTA
student members or students of a current ASTA member
with instrument categories of Violin, Viola, Cello,
Double Bass, Harp and Guitar. Required repertoire has
been recently announced and is listed on
ASTA’s website.
MA-ASTA will sponsor Massachusetts preliminary round in
late October/early November 2008. Winners selected at
that live audition will be invited to submit a
recording to the national semi-final screening and 2 -
3 finalists in each category will be chosen to compete
in person at the national finals in Atlanta. Details of
the Massachusetts auditions will be available in Spring
2008.
