Mentor Program

MA-ASTA's mentor program pairs teachers who are in the earliest stages of their teaching careers with established and experienced teachers in our area. Mentors and mentees will be paired based on individual needs and strengths.

Mentors

We are always looking for new mentors in all areas of string education to serve as mentors for those relatively new to the field of education. There is a need for mentors in all areas of string education (all levels of classroom teaching, as well as private studio). Mentoring would entail being available to answer questions, allowing opportunities for observation, and just checking in now and then!

If you have been teaching for 10 years or more, and are willing to share the practical knowledge and the wisdom that comes with time and experience, please consider volunteering as a mentor.

A list of volunteer mentors, along with their bios, will be posted on the MA-ASTA Website. Mentor contact information will be kept confidential. Those seeking a mentor will apply through the suggestions box, and their request will be forwarded to the mentor by the program coordinator.
